Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is an approach to communication,self-development, and it’s a mental therapy

Basically, it is a psychological approach that involves few mind strategies which were used by some successful individuals & applying them to reach a personal goal. It relates thoughts, language, habits, and patterns of behaviors learned through experience to desired outcomes. Advocate of NLP assumes that all human actions are positive.



The idea behind NLP is that your brain has its own special “language”, and that through this language, throughout your life you acquire “programming” for how you think, behave and react. Then it seeks to understand this language, and to use it to change your thoughts and your automatic behaviors. It is just as simple as learning a new foreign language or learning the language of your own mind

This human software which helps in the functioning of our mind can be upgraded through NLP by reprogramming the VAK (Visual-Auditory-Kin aesthetic).

This understanding is fundamental to NLP, to make you understand that how and why you feel restricted, lack of self-confident, fear of rejection, personal loss, public embarrassment, lack of skill or worth to reach the desired outcome which becomes your map and prevents you from moving forward in the future which is your territory.

The NLP will help in pushing the boundaries of your mental map by ‘reprogramming your internal control systems’. Language gives the ability to formulate, express your feeling, and communicate your thoughts. It organizes your world and the meaning and associations of words not only to define but structure the world around us.

By changing the pattern of language we use, one can expand the limits of his/her map and take the first steps to start the changes desired in life.

You communicate your feelings in different ways. The communication could be verbal or non-verbal. Most of the feelings are actually communicated unconsciously, be it through tone, volume, pace, facial expressions, body language, and words/phrases.

Being NLP Coach, we are trained to distinguish these subtle, unconscious signs so that we can understand how the person is feeling. A Coach can discover the self-imposed restrictions the person has put on his/her mind through unveiling mental map of that person and working with the person to move forward and leaving behind the Limiting Beliefs of Hopelessness, Worthlessness and Help-lessens, the most common of all.

In NLP, beliefs are treated as what we call pre-suppositions – not as facts or truths. Essentially, you have a conscious choice about what you believe, and if you don’t like the outcomes you get from a belief, you have the flexibility to change it.
